ranging from $3.99 to $49.95 - 80% of them are under $10.00. Our catalog includes over 1,500 books and Kid Kits (plus a few
puzzles and games), that entice and challenge readers and make learning fun! New titles are added to the line twice per year.
What does a Consultant do?
Most consultants get started with Home Shows. A hostess invites her friends and family to come see the books. As the consultant,
you set up a display of the books and demonstrate the unique features and details of a few
titles. (Note: complete training
is provided to learn your book presentation, including word-for-word scripts, a product knowledge audio CD, and a home show
demo DVD.) You take orders that night, and the hostess also
collects orders from people who could not attend. The hostess
earns a shopping spree of free and highly discounted Usborne Books, based on the sales of her show.
You earn 25% of the sales as your commission!
Your work consisted of spending an average of just three hours away from home, sharing these beautiful books, socializing
with other adults and helping them choose books for the children in their lives.
Beyond Home Shows…
If you’d like to explore avenues of selling the books other than at home shows, we have other programs through which
you can sell Usborne books. Details are shown on the following pages. Most people start with home shows, as they are easy
to do and very profitable! But home shows are not the only way to enjoy selling Usborne Books.
How Much Does An Usborne Consultant Make?
As
with all businesses, this depends on how much time and effort you want to put into your business. Since the average home show
sales are between $300 and $400, most consultants make $75 - $100 per show, plus bonuses. Multiply that by the number of events
you want to work per month and you can get a rough estimate of how much you will make.
Commission Earned on Your Sales:
Home Shows: 25% commission (show min. $85 in retail sales)
Direct Sales: $25 - $84 = 15% commission,
$85 or more = 30% commission
Book Fairs: $200 - $499 = 20% commission,
$500
or more = 17% commission
Fund Raisers: $250 or more = 15-30% commission
Web Site Sales: $25 or more = 15-25% commission
School & Library Sales: (min. $25 retail)
= 17% - 25% commission
You can also earn a MONTHLY SALES BONUS!

their own home business with UBAM, you will earn a 4% bonus on your personal recruits’ sales every month that you sell
at least $350 net.
There are no territories for recruiting new consultants; you can sign up anyone from around the country.

Leadership Opportunities with UBAH:
As you sponsor new consultants into
the business, you can build a team and increase your income by promoting yourself to Supervisor. As a Supervisor, you will
earn an 11% bonus on your team member's sales AND your own personal sales. If this interests you, I will personally help you

Home shows are an excellent way to reach many families
at one time, while helping the hostess build her personal home library. A typical show consists of a brief introduction of
the books as well as selected features.
You highlight the books you like, leaving lots of time for customers to browse
the books you bring as well as the Usborne catalog.
Group Sales and Events:
There are many
groups designed to help support mothers and families which are full of people who love good books for their children. Examples
include local play groups, babysitting coops, etc.
Craft and Holiday Fairs, Festivals, and Community Days
Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to show off our wonderful Usborne Books. Children’s festivals, holiday
fairs, craft shows, community days are just a few examples. These are not only an opportunity for sales, but they are also

anytime, for any amount.
Preschools and Daycares
Preschools
and Daycares can get up to 50% of their sales in free books by having a book fair. Parents enjoy the convenience and their
children benefit at home and school. Our EZ Book Fair program for preschools allows you
to take orders using wish lists
with the children - no need for you to stock an inventory of books.
Shopping Cart Website
The company makes
available to all consultants an "online store" website service that has a full online catalog and secure shopping cart. This
service is available for a small fee (many of the starter kits come with a free trial).
The website is a great business
tool and allows you to set up e-shows and e-book fairs.

If
you decide to become a certified * Educational Consultant, you can contact: Schools- Educators are great fans of Usborne Books and are excited when a consultant brings them samples to preview. Most schools
have a specific budget to get new books by Purchase Order.

public libraries, you must become an Educational Consultant by ordering an additional small kit. This kit includes the training
